From June 3 to 6, 2026, Mad Verre et Équipements France had the pleasure of participating in the international Glass Art Society (GAS) conference, held in Corning, New York.
This major event in the glass world brings together each year artists, craftspeople, educational institutions, and industry professionals from around the globe to celebrate hot glass techniques and contemporary glass art.
A Booth Dedicated to Networking and Meaningful Connections
On this occasion, we showcased our glassblower’s lathe, designed to meet the needs of glassworking professionals.
Our participation had several objectives:
- Introducing our equipment to an international audience,
- Connecting with glass artists, glassblowers, and specialized schools,
- Gathering valuable feedback from professionals in the field,
- Developing new professional relationships and opportunities.
A demonstration session on Friday afternoon
The glassblower’s lathe demonstrations were held exclusively on Friday afternoon during a dedicated demonstration session.
During this time, participants had the opportunity to operate the lathe firsthand and explore its features in real working conditions, leading to practical discussions and valuable feedback on its use.

A Glassblower’s Lathe Designed for Mobility and Practicality
The lathe presented stands out for its portable and easy-to-move design. Weighing approximately 70 kg (154 lbs), it is particularly well suited for both workshop use and traveling demonstrations.
For more detailed technical information about the lathe, a dedicated article is available.
