The Glass Alchemy Lemon Drop rod is a semi-transparent cadmium-based yellow that is a classic favorite among glass artists. This familiar and warm color is known for its bright radiance and subtle depth, bringing a touch of freshness and vibrancy to all glass creations.

This semi-transparent yellow stands out for its ability to capture light while allowing a slight translucency to show through, making it ideal for delicate light effects. Its cadmium base gives it intense saturation and a clear shade that does not dull, even after blowing or stretching. This makes it a perfect choice for artistic pieces where brightness and color purity are essential.

When working with the Glass Alchemy Lemon Drop rod, it is recommended to use a neutral flame to avoid any color alteration. If surface issues such as irregularities or marks occur, it is advised to add a thin layer of clear glass over the yellow. This technique helps smooth the surface and protect the color while improving the visual quality of the piece. Additionally, blowing this color is highly recommended to achieve a clean and even finish, with no visible defects.

Lemon Drop is thus a versatile yellow that fits perfectly into a wide variety of glass techniques, whether for sculptures, blown objects, or decorative details. Its natural luminosity and ease of handling make it a material of choice for anyone looking to enrich their creations with a vibrant and elegant yellow.
