Description
The Hobby Two kiln is a versatile and high-performance model specifically designed for fusing, glass thermoforming, and grisaille techniques. This professional-grade equipment allows artisans and creators to work with glass with precision and efficiency. Its carefully crafted design and technical features make it an essential tool for stained glass workshops, decoration, and the creation of blown glass pieces.
One of the key features of the Hobby Two kiln is its tilting bell with hinges, which makes it easier to access the inside of the firing chamber. This feature allows the bell to be opened effortlessly to safely place or remove pieces. The refractory sole plate, included with the kiln, ensures excellent heat distribution and protects the base of the firing chamber from high temperatures. The opening handle is designed for easy and ergonomic use, offering full control when opening and closing the bell.
The Hobby Two kiln is equipped with a side gas spring, enabling smooth opening and closing of the bell, even after long and repeated firing cycles. The resistance elements, installed in the vault within quartz tubes, ensure uniform heat distribution, which is crucial for achieving perfect fusing results. The mineral fiber insulation offers excellent thermal retention, reducing energy loss and optimizing the kiln’s efficiency.
For temperature regulation, the Hobby Two kiln uses a Bentrup TC2088 control system, which includes 19 programs with 10 segments. Each segment consists of a ramp-up and a plateau, allowing precise control of temperature variations, which is essential for fusing and glass thermoforming. This control system ensures consistent and controlled results, even during complex firing processes.
