The Glass Alchemy Olive Green Crayon glass rod is a dense, deep olive green. It is a darker version of the Chartreuse Crayon color. This color contains cadmium and yellow undertones. It maintains its density even when pulled very thin.

You can use it in all techniques. It is suitable for both blown and solid work. It is easy and safe to handle, even for beginners.

For best results, preheat the rod in an outer flame. Avoid rapid heating to preserve quality.

Olive Green Crayon melts smoothly and creamy. It prefers the mid to outer flame area. You can also quickly bring it close to the flame for localized heating.

This color works perfectly for sculptural and blown pieces. It gives the best results with at least a 2 mm layer. You can blow Olive Green between two layers of clear glass. This creates a very elegant translucent effect.

When you apply Olive Green onto itself, it melts perfectly. Point work or layering designs becomes easy.

The color does not sublime or boil if you work slowly. You can also use a graphite or metal tool to help with the work.
